Apple’s Radical New iPhone Suddenly Takes Shape.

New i Phones are coming sooner than you think and there’s a lot to like on the inside. But now we have our best look yet at the radical overhaul Apple will deliver on the outside.

06/18 Update: Industry insider Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, has stated that both the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are now set to ship with 120Hz displays. Young had previously said Apple was in two minds about adding this tech due to concerns about battery life. Apple will not have access to Samsung's new super efficient LTPO panels (which are being reserved exclusively for the Galaxy Note 20+), though it now seems Apple has found a way to still include the tech. This is big news given that rivals have widely adopted 90Hz and 120Hz displays over the last 12 months, and it delivers a tangibly smoother and more responsive experience than the 60Hz panels iPhones have used until this point. Both the entry level iPhone 12 and new iPhone 12 Max, however, will still be restricted to 60Hz, which is clearly a factor in their surprisingly aggressive pricing.

The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max will have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch panels.
